Description
This 8W universal emergency LED driver installs alongside the existing driver in any compatible LED fixture — including commercial downlights, LED panels, linear strips, troffers, wall packs, and vapor-tight lights — and automatically activates when AC power fails, delivering 90 minutes of constant emergency illumination. It accepts a 100–347VAC input range and outputs 170VDC, supporting LED luminaires up to 60W without dimming or up to 320W with a 0-10V dimming driver. Integrated self-diagnostic circuitry automatically performs monthly 30-second and annual 90-minute discharge tests per NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, eliminating the need for manual test scheduling. UL 924 Listed for the US and Canada and CEC Title 20 compliant, the slim-profile unit includes a test switch and charge indicator kit and weighs just 1.7 lbs.

Features +−
- Provides 8W/18W of constant emergency output power and is universally compatible with commercial downlights, LED panels, linear strip fixtures, troffers, wall packs, and vapor-tight lights.
- Wires directly to the existing LED driver's AC input — when AC power is interrupted, the emergency driver automatically activates and delivers 170VDC to maintain illumination.
- Supports LED luminaires up to 60W without dimming, or fixtures up to 320W when paired with a 0-10V dimming driver (not compatible with 0-10V dimming luminaires rated 8W or less).
- Integrated self-diagnostic circuitry automatically conducts a 30-second discharge test every 30 days and a full 90-minute discharge test every 365 days per NFPA 101 Life Safety Code requirements.
- Automatically restores to normal charging mode after each self-test cycle completes, with no manual intervention required.
- Accepts a wide 100–347VAC input voltage range at 50/60Hz, accommodating standard 120V branch circuits as well as 277V and 347V commercial electrical systems.
- Constant power output design maintains consistent emergency wattage even as the lithium-ion battery voltage decreases during the discharge cycle.
- Three-way battery protection covers over-charge, over-discharge, and over-temperature conditions to safeguard battery health and extend service life.
- Built-in 3kV live-to-neutral surge protection guards the driver against transient voltage spikes in commercial electrical environments.
- Malfunction indicator function provides visual alert when the emergency backup pack is operating abnormally, enabling prompt identification and service.
- Lithium-ion battery pack with low 10W recharge power draws minimal standby current, with a full recharge time of 24 hours after complete discharge.
- Slim profile body measures just 13.59" × 1.54" × 0.99" and weighs 1.7 lbs, fitting easily inside troffer housings, above-ceiling plenum spaces, and linear fixture channels.
- Included test switch and charge indicator kit is available in three mounting styles — metal one-piece, plastic integrated, or flexible cable — to suit different fixture and ceiling configurations.
- Rated for damp locations and plenum spaces with a maximum mounting height of 51 feet, suitable for indoor commercial installations at standard and high-ceiling heights.
- UL Listed for the United States and Canada, tested to UL 924 and CSA C22.2 No. 141, and compliant with CEC Title 20 and NFPA 101 Life Safety Code requirements.
- Suitable for both field retrofit of existing fixtures and factory installation in new construction, with no specialized tools required.
- Backed by a 5-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.
